One of the things that I thought was truly amazing when I moved to Pennsylvania nearly eight years ago is how you can be driving through the middle of nowhere and come across the most unusual things: industrial facilities surrounded by farmland, natural wonders, or in this case, some amazing architecture. This is St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church in Trauger, PA. The first time I discovered this church I thought it was so unusual be such an elaborate and unusual style for such a rural setting. If you have been following my "neat churches that turned out to not be churches" posts, this one really IS a church, not a bank or courthouse. 🤣
