Acme Milky Way 2

Description
I have only managed to go out on one astrophotography shoot this year and it was pretty cloudy, so I went mack and worked on some previously unedited shots I took on October 4th, 2024 at Chestnut Ridge Park/Acme Dam Lake in Donegal, Westmoreland County, PA. This is a Bortle 4 sky and a long exposure with the camera shows just how much of the night sky we miss out on as a result of light pollution. Even with the darker sky over Donegal, the Milky Way is extremely faint and you don't get to see it unless you know where to look for it. I can't wait to take a trip to true dark skies and can only imagine the view of the stars that our ancestors must have had.
