Long Shadows

Description
I guess Pennsylvania is starting off with something different for the New Year - sunlight!! I looked out my back door, seen the light outside and these beautiful shadows streaking across my yard in Armbrust, PA from the bare trees and had to run out and take a few shots before I even had my coffee brewing. A few years ago, I would have never considered black and white photography, but the more I do black and whites, the more I love them. This time I think it added to the contrast and the mood of the image, because the original was pretty bleak, even under a bright blue sky. As a side note, since I got my mirrorless camera last year and modded it for full-spectrum with the intention of using it for IR and astrophotography, it has ended up being my daily driver and it goes everywhere with me. I ran out, framed my shot, and snapped -- "change battery pack" 😭My spares were in the garage in my bag in my truck, so I changed cameras instead, got my trusty workhorse old camera, and 🎶ca-chunk 🎶that mirror flipping and heavy shutter clicking was just music to my ears! I've missed shooting with that beast!
